In this position you will have a chance to utilize all these skills and more as you lead our company through the definition of solutions that leverage our robust product portfolio in a focus set of industries. The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, and highly organized, can work cross-functionally to identify business needs and is comfortable deriving meaning and relevance from technical information and perspectives. In this role, you will interact with global industry leaders and direct a diverse organization of industry solution experts. You’ll also interface with numerous internal software development and sales groups at all levels of management. The person in this role must be able to quickly form productive working relationships with others of varying technical and business backgrounds to lead, influence and drive critical programs to fruition. Responsibilities • Structuring and facilitating the definition of our portfolio of solutions for focus industry vertical segments. • Managing the inbound requirements process for each of those solutions and how those requirements flow into our product development groups. • Supporting the production of compelling written and demonstration content to support industry solution campaign tactics. • Managing industry subject matter experts in the support of strategic customer sales engagements. Skills and Abilities Required • Proven strong analytical, data-driven and problem-solving skills; a willingness and ability to operate at both higher and more detail levels as required; unafraid to challenge the status quo • Must be a flexible and creative individual capable of leading and managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast paced, often ambiguous, and diverse environment • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence/negotiate and garner support for objectives; comfortable negotiating and driving timely decisions • Skilled diplomat with high levels of professional confidence and business acumen; excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience of successfully working across organizational lines and strong executive presentation skills, transforming deep technical content into convincing executive level messaging Education / Experience • Engineering degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, Manufacturing Operations Management, or related technical field • Direct industry experience working with engineers and/or other technical roles, especially in multi-disciplinary project or program execution • Background that includes experience applying PLM related software solutions to enable industry specific business methods, processes and practices • Direct, practical experience with several of the following software technology categories corresponding to Siemens DI SW portfolio: MCAD, ECAD, CAE, PLM, ALM, Manufacturing Engineering, CAM, Manufacturing Operations Management (MES), Service Lifecycle Management, Industrial IoT, Factory and Process Automation • Experience in a marketing, strategy and/or sales role; strong ability to synthesize solution capability and process impact into customer and stakeholder business value • Previous management experience, including staff and budget responsibility • Experience in a project / program management role; with strong organizational and change management skills and a strong sense of ownership/bias for action to deliver results Work Conditions / Physical Requirements • Normal office environment. Can work from home, within 2 hour drive to a regional airport or possibly work from local office if located in most major cities • This is a global position and it is expected that the candidate has appropriate freedom to travel in accordance with aforementioned responsibilities • Domestic and International travel estimated to be 15-25% Added notes (not in job description): • Knowledge of DISW Sales Execution and Demand Creation campaign methodologies • Knowledge of Campaign messaging methodologies (TIPS Storyboarding) • Catalyst / preconfigured solution methodology experience • Solution Map knowledge • Ability to translate engineering knowledge into SW solution definition (process description and logical data model) • Inbound experience • Industry Strategy contribution / experience • Mentorship and leadership for solution directors and onboarding… • Concentrated experience in highly automated and data-intensive manufacturing industries is a bonus. Experience in multidisciplinary manufacturing teams, in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Manufacturing Planning and Execution, Control / Automation Engineering, Quality, Service & Support, Lifecycle Management, and/or Industrial IOT The salary range for this position is $155,900 to $287,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
