Position Overview: Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Director of Marketing for our Power Delivery & Regulation Division (PDRD). This position will be based in our Waukesha, WI location. Reporting to the Sr VP/GM (PDRD), this role provides overall strategic direction and leadership for the sales and marketing functions within PDRD (total annual revenue of $700M+). The Marketing Director works closely with the business Senior VP/GM, Division Staff and PRD staff in the development and deployment/execution of the division’s strategic plan. This person will ensure that any sales and innovation strategies are closely linked to the division’s strategy for growth, profitability and operational success. This requires close collaboration with the senior leadership team, division, staff, and marketing organization both within and outside of PDRD. The Director Marketing is also responsible for leading efforts in researching, analyzing and investigating future potential business development opportunities, including partnerships, JV’s and acquisitions in support of the strategic plans. Essential Responsibilities: Develop the business strategy by analyzing key market trends including competitive products, regulatory and legislative developments and technological advances Guide and hold accountable Product Line Managers (PLM’s) for execution of the strategic marketing initiatives defined in the PDRD Strategic Plan and the annual Profit Plan Build and develop talent within the marketing organization through coaching, training, and focus on succession planning Co-lead new product introduction (NPI) roadmap and execution utilizing Eaton ProLaunch tools to meet changing market needs in a competitive environment. This involves increasing the value of the product portfolio, introducing differentiable solutions, and filling gaps in the overall product offering Jointly develop a sales growth strategy and programs to increase market share in existing markets and identify and develop new markets Collaborate and introduce product/marketing promotions and other sales programs to deliver top-line sales revenue objectives Focus on effectively increasing margins by balancing objectives of growth and profitability through effective product management (optimal portfolio, product mix, pricing approach, customer targets) to deliver volume, gross margin and return on sales goals Drive development in codes and standards by leading national Codes and Standards initiatives and industry relationships for the Power Delivery and Regulation Division Identify inorganic growth opportunities and adjacent markets that we may pursue through acquisition or partnership and cultivate relationships with identified targets Effectively manage cross-functional interfaces in a manner harmonized with CRDS’ overall operating principles. Guide direct reports to achieve same balance in the performance of their responsibilities Maintain and enhance positive working relationships with sales management and the agency base. Gather VOC, present NPI and facilitate issue resolution as required Participate and contribute to necessary monthly business processes and initiatives including forecasting, demand planning, employee development, operational alignment, and sales communications Position Criteria: Strong leadership and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills to quickly navigate difficult challenges internally, externally, and within the overall team Must understand the concepts of price realization and value based pricing Prior experience directly dealing with sales staff and distributors Knowledge and/or experience with electronic tools such as Power BI, Cognos, BidManager Understanding of the electrical market and working knowledge of electrical products and solutions Knowledge of Strategic Planning, Profit Planning, Road mapping and ProLaunch Ability to travel 25% Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Minimum ten (10) years of experience in sales, marketing or related position in the electrical industry Minimum five (5) years of experience leading people Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Engineer to Order business; operations, sales/product management, project management) Previous PLM Experience in Engineered to Order Product Lines Strong executive level communications capabilities and the proven ability to execute strategies Education: An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required An advanced degree is preferred Compensation: Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary, employee incentive compensation, including long term incentive and complete benefits Location: This position will be based in our Waukesha, WI location ABOUT EATON: Why Work At Eaton: https://www.eaton.com/content/dam/eaton/company/careers/whyworkateatonflyer/Why-Work-at-Eaton-Flyer-boxes.pdf 2022 Annual Investor Conference: https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/company/investor-relations/investor-toolkit/financial-reports/annual-investor-conference.html Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
