Job Title

The Director of Operations is in charge of monitoring and directing all departments inside the hotel to meet revenue, profit and customer satisfaction targets. She/he keeps track of overhead expenses, incident reports, department requests, purchase reports and accounts payable and receivable to meet financial goals. Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to put guest satisfaction first.

What you will be doing:

This position’s responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Create and implement methods to guarantee that guests have a great experience that exceeds guest satisfaction expectations
  • Collaborate with front office, food and beverage, and other department heads to ensure that operations are running smoothly
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel's inner workings, including room rates, rooms operations, hotel policies, availability, and profitability strategies
  • Conduct revenue management audits for all department budgets, including purchase journals, expenditures, capital requests, labor, and present reports to general manager
  • Incorporate guest satisfaction into staff meetings, with a focus on coming up with new methods to enhance performance over time

Your knowledge, Skills & Abilities should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality field, preferably in a full-service hotel
  • Proven track record of managing a team in a hospitality or hotel management role
  • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
