Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition - Regional North America to join our team. The preferred location for this position is our headquarters in Beachwood, OH, but could also be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Raleigh, NC, Chicago, IL, or Southfield, MI. The Director, Regional North America Talent Acquisition is a member of the Global Talent Acquisition Leadership team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition. In this role you will provide strategic talent acquisition direction and execution to Eaton’s hiring teams and your leaders to ensure outcomes are achieved for critical hiring initiatives. You will be agile and capable of providing talent solutions based on organizational needs across the US and Canada. Operational rigor will be a priority with a data driven mindset toward KPI and metrics results while harmonizing processes within the recruiting team. The leader will play a significant role in developing strategic recruiting and sourcing strategies for niche, high demand/low supply roles attracting and hiring top talent at all levels. Essential functions include: Leads the recruitment strategy for how Eaton will execute production, banded and technical recruiting in the North American region, bringing together the resources of Talent Acquisition recruiting, employer banding and marketing, Talent Acquisition operations and technology and the Global Back Office (GBO). Partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to assess hiring needs, workforce planning, capacity planning, and year-end planning to build a stronger strategic approach for Talent Acquisition in the region. Translates Global TA priorities into a regional strategy that supports the unique hiring needs of the region, communicates this strategy clearly to the region TA leaders and recruiters and to customers ensuring there is a clear direction communicated on how TA delivers. Achieve an annual hiring plan that emphasizes scale, quality, and speed of hires. To do this, the Regional TA Director must understand the business's goals and strategy related to the talent plan, and translate that into a clear resource strategy that combines people, process, and technology to deliver outcomes. Implement and promote Diversity and Inclusion programs pertaining to TA including a US military program. Leads, coaches, and inspires a reginal talent acquisition team of managers to deliver outstanding results while effectively communicating the critical dimensions of the long-term vision. Comfortable rolling up sleeves to get things done in tandem with participating in deeply complex discussions. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent acquisition and employment law and applies this knowledge to communicate changes to upper management and across the TA team in the region. Acts as the primary point for compliance in the region. Assesses the strengths and weakness of the recruiting teams in the region, actively manages headcount and resources using data and technology. Coaches their leaders to build innovative recruiting strategies from the ground up for the divisions for which they are aligned. Effectively manages communications and change with their regional TA teams and the business. Takes a leadership role in delivering any change to the business. Constantly seeks ways to simplify and improve the experience for candidates, TA recruiters, Managers and HR through the hiring process. Thinks and Acts Strategically: Has a pulse on the talent acquisition trends across the competitive landscape (for all segments) in the region and can clearly lay out a compelling strategy for how Eaton will execute winning recruiting strategies. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Minimum 10 years of experience working in a corporate recruiting or HR management role Minimum 7 years of experience managing direct reports Minimum 3 years of experience managing managers Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution Position Criteria: Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proven experience translating automation solutions into functional productivity gains Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
