Director of Rooms

    What you will be doing:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Rooms departments and ensure all service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing supporting agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices
  • Prepare annual budgets and administer in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Lead and support all areas in the achievement of their financial and operational targets
  • Control all purchases for the division, consistently being aware of quality and cost
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the set goals and targets
  • Oversea group business, reviewing and ensuring details of group resumes are met
  • Oversee the selection, training and development of all heartists to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Ensure that all departmental policies, procedures and service standards are followed
  • Follow all safety and AllSafe policies while promoting a safe and healthy work environment with emphasis on work life balance
  • Monitor employee performance through feedback, performance management, annual performance reviews, recognitionpractices and consistent follow-up
  • Be a role model for the team in providing warm, friendly and engaging service
  • Any other related duties as requested by the General Manager

    Your experience and skills include:
  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
