Job Description
Position Overview The Digital Industries (DI), Director of Digital Enterprise Service Sales will lead a nationally based group of Service Sales Executives focusing on selling DI’s portfolio of Solutions and Services to manufactures in multiple vertical industry segments. This role is responsible for developing and driving sales strategy and execution in client segments in partnership with our extended DI sales and distribution teams. The position encompasses nationwide responsibility. Revenue volume will be in the range of $100m. Total headcount in the org unit is approximately twelve (12), comprised of individual contributor sales professionals reporting directly to this position. Responsibilities · Lead a professional sales team in the acquisition of year over year, sustainable revenue growth · Facilitate the execution of a proven sales process with tight integration to our CRM · Provide transparency and internal reporting, forecasting, monthly status meetings · As a member of the leadership team, contribute to overall business and go-to-market strategies · Develop and lead the execution of a long-range sales strategy and business plan for the DI Service market · Engage with sales at end user clients to win service and solution-based contracts · Build and maintain customer relationships on executive levels through extensive personal customer engagement · Alignment with extended DI product and Vertical sales teams for a collaborative approach to the market · Service sales initiative development and execution in collaboration with business segments · Set expectations for and implement a robust account-planning and review cycle for the team · Contribute to key channel (distributors/integrators) planning activities · Support development of marketing collateral and programs for service promotions · Challenge the sales team to continuously develop relevant and future-oriented skills and capabilities to demonstrate a growth mindset. Required Skills The ideal candidate will have a successful 10+ year track record in a Sales Leadership or equivalent role. 5+ years prior direct management experience of teams of at least eight people required. Business Unit/P&L experience a plus. Previous sales experience within Siemens Digital Industries desired. Demonstrated track record of effectively navigating highly matrixed organizations including culture and processes is critical to success of this position. This ideal candidate must have successfully demonstrated: Technical and Customer Capabilities: · A keen understanding of the DI portfolio (products, services and solutions) and its key applications with the manufacturing sector · Excellent understanding of customers, markets, business operations and people · Customer Relationship Management (CRM) effectiveness, and demonstrated ability to drive an effective sales systematic · Solid familiarity with pricing-management ideology & tools · Strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with customers’ top executives · Proven track record of success in operating with multiple channels to market, including direct sales, distributors, and external partners Leadership and People Capabilities: · Embraces an ownership culture with a proactive mindset of identifying what needs to be done and working to achieve it with minimal direction Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth · Willing to take measured risk and demonstrate the ability to act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence · Understands the difference between tactical and strategic, and strikes the right balance in his/her daily job · Establishes and maintains a culture of openness, trust, empowerment, diversity, equity, and inclusion across Sales #LI-VM1 #DI Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
