The Position
The University is looking for a person of high caliber to provide leadership to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) and be responsible for the overall management of the SAO.
Reporting to the President via the Vice President (Students and Support), the appointee will oversee the provision of student career services, student financial services, student support & activities as well as sports & wellness with a focus on enabling student success and enriching campus life. He/she will also be required to provide direction to the development, implementation and review of policies and programmes to support students and meet their needs. The appointee will also be one of the members of the University’s Management Board.
Requirements
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, with substantial knowledge and experience in managing student affairs and services, preferably in a tertiary education setting;
- Dynamic leadership with strategic vision in directing the provision of student support and services;
- Passionate and innovative in enriching student life, experience and enabling success;
- A demonstrated ability in establishing and developing trust and rapport with students;
- Proven ability to manage through crises with discretion and a sense of responsibility and respect for students, families, and the University;
- Demonstrated managerial skills and capacity to nurture a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, synergy and continuous improvement; and
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
Remuneration Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary, composite cash allowance, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be offered to the right candidate.Fringe benefits such as generous annual leave, staff learning and development sponsorship, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage will also be provided.
