As a Director of Supply Chain Management , you will play a key role in supporting the business internally and in the field, directing the day-to-day procurement activities to ensure business continuity at the production facilities. The role is responsible for sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation, and continued development of worldwide master supplier data through cross-functional teams. The role will work closely with External Suppliers and Service Providers in addition to working internally with Healthcare Business Units, Legal, and Procurement departments of the business units and all Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering departments including Contract Manufacturing, Manufacturing Support, Project Management, Process Engineering, Sustaining Engineering and Training. The role supports the long-term strategic objectives to ensure the delivery of high quality radio-pharmaceuticals and outstanding patient care on behalf of PETNET Solutions, a multi-national, wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens Molecular Imaging. PETNET is the worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals for positron emission tomography. This position is expected to build strong collaborative relationships w/ other key leaders at the Senior Leadership levels in the organization, ensuring that Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering is positioned to optimize performance in terms of quality, service and consistency of radio-pharmaceutical production. Collaborates with Leadership to plan and allocate operating budgets to assure appropriate resource utilization & consistent operations, quality & scope of service. Responsible to monitor performance against budgets & make appropriate adjustments to achieve financial goals. Works to develop and execute a global strategy for the execution of manufacturing demands and delivery of quality customer experiences from any site across the company. Builds strong collaborative relationships to ensure alignment of resources & efficiency of operations. Emphasis is placed on performance, financial monitoring, operational excellence, productivity, compliance and an overall culture of organizational efficiency (LEAN). The position serves as a peer with other members of the Sr. Leadership team and is accountable for the operational effectiveness and process improvements required to sustainably deliver high quality radio-pharmaceuticals to a global network of customers. This position is located in Knoxville, TN. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction for centralized operations support functions Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics. Specifically providing supply chain oversight and support for all US and OUS pharmacies to include - procurement, materials management and distribution, courier management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, planning, and supply chain compliance to meet our customers expected high level of service and management interaction. The scope of activities includes: Oversight of PSL functions - O18 processing, QC standards, media GPT, etc. Transactional procurement for US, MIBR, and EU Materials planning and inventory for all Bus Oversight of P2P up to and including AP process flow Freight and Distribution processing for final product delivery ECC compliance for all of PETNET Item master information cleansing and synching Case tracking & investment proposals Cyclotron Parts Management Required Organizational skills: · Key leadership position that must work cross functionally within organization to drive overall business results · Interface with external and internal customers and suppliers to drive continual process and service improvements · Primary interface with cross functional internal/external teams, field operations, and drug sponsors to drive alignment of key goals and metrics between centralized and decentralized operational activities Required skills to have for the success of this role: · Ability to work independently and interpret information, including financial & technical information · Technically skilled with proven ability to troubleshoot problems, solve abstract issues, interpret and implement policies & procedures · Ability to communicate and promote common vision and develop high performance team culture · Proven leadership abilities · Effective personnel and cross-functional management · Ability to communicate effectively and manage a large decentralized team · Ability to assess strategic impact of measures and resolve extremely complex problems cross-functionally and within dept. · Strong interpersonal, organizational and managerial skills · Excellent attention to detail in the execution of job responsibilities · Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in fast-paced environment · Travel as required to perform job function (up to 50% travel) (Minimum) Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience: · B.S. or M.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or related sciences required; Masters or MBA preferred · Minimum 10 years of leadership-level experience and documented record of success in management of multi-disciplinary and multi-site manufacturing operations and services, required. Pharmacy and/or pharmaceutical experience preferred. · Minimum 10 years experience in PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and radiation/hazardous material handling. · Minimum 5 years experience in business development experience · Minimum 5 years experience in customer relationship management · Experience in personnel management and leadership expertise · Experience in a production or cGMP manufacturing environment · Experience working with FDA audit programs preferred At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
