Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position is responsible for defining and developing a compelling technology vision that aligns technology and operational strategy with the Swire Hotels Group’s overall business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish a technology vision and strategy which is aligned with the business priorities and objectives
• Lead a review of all technology, systems and platforms to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
• Ensure all technology investments and services are delivered and maintained in the most cost-effective manner
• Define and implement the strategy to meet information security, cybersecurity, PCI and respective privacy ordinance requirements
• Plan and implement technology to streamline internal operations
• Responsible for IT resource planning, including budget management, staffing, etc
• Be the go-to resource for all business units in regards to technology
• Study current and new industry trends, technologies and software developments
• Take the lead in working with software vendors and service providers to deliver IT strategy
• Provide leadership, support and mentorship to e-Services team members

Do you have the following?

• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
• Enterprise Architect with minimum eight years’ experience
• Specialisation in data and analytics
• Proven ability to map IT needs to business capabilities and objectives
• Understanding of / experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
• Experience in hotel-based software an advantage
• Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with senior management and stakeholders
• Creative problem solver with positive mindset who thrives when presented with a challenge
• Excellent leadership, management skills, able to encourage team, mentor and lead
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Asia, particular HK and PRC experience
