YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Disease Control Intern, are to: 

• Evaluate and develop methodologies to quickly quantify the biomass of pathogens in plant tissue prior to symptom development.This may entail pathogen and plant culture, conducting inoculations, performing DNA extraction, developing primers, etc;
• Collaborate with other teams on analyzing results.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a BS or advanced degree program in Plant Science, Biology, Microbiology, or closely related field;
• Strong molecular biology acumen with the ability to independently design experiments and analyze data;
• Experience with plant pathogens.
