Job Description
Position: PYP Homeroom Teacher

I. Job Description
• Working Days: Monday to Friday.
• Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week, each period lasts between 35-45 min depending on the grade level.
• Develop lesson plans in alignment with school guidelines, employ adaptable and varied teaching methodologies, and proficiently accomplish teaching responsibilities.
• Design, prepare and deliver high quality UOI lessons to suit the individual needs of all students in line with the PYP
• Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can see success and improve
• Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
• Communicate accurately and regularly with parents about student progress and behaviour
• Liaise with the Head of Department and PYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
• Document students’ learning through the Student Portfolio, anecdotal notes, checklists and other methods
• Contribute to and participate in school activities such as assemblies, festivals, conferences, workshops
• Maintain constant awareness of the needs of every student in your class
• Completes all classroom (teaching, learning and behaviour) related administrative tasks on-time an in the proper format.

II. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, science related or in the field of the applied teaching position.
2. Licensed teachers with accredited credentials are preferred. English language teaching certifications such as CELTA, DELTA are also welcome.
3. English Native speakers are preferred.

III. Compensation& Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 29,000 - 38,000 plus housing allowance
