Job Title: Distribution Center Manager
A. JOB SUMMARY
Operational Excellence. Adhering to Standard Operations Procedure, ensure disciplined and quality warehousing operations to satisfy both customer service requirement and internal control target.
Environment, Health and Safety. Maintain a zero accident working environment. Comply with company and local EHS requirements.
Cost Effectiveness. Control variable operational cost and look for cost saving opportunities to achieve budget target.
KPI. Coordinate operations process to achieve both service and productivity KPI targets.
Training and Development. Ensure staff is well trained in terms of SOP, WMS application and hands on operations.
Continuous Improvement. Based on KPI and benchmarking, continuously seek opportunities to improve customer service level, operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Operations
Ensure a smooth cosmetics warehouse operation process through receiving/ inspection, put away, replenishment, pick &pack, and dispatch, while sticking with promised shipping schedule
Utilize effectively storage space, and plan in advance to cater for ad hoc seasonal requirement and business growth
Manage virtual/ physical locations and status of bonded/ non-bonded products; ensure physical status and virtual status are fully reconciled and strictly conform to Customs / CIQ administration requirement.
Ensure inventory accuracy and healthy in terms of quantity, location, quality and shelf life through strict batch management, FEFO, and cycle count
Set up a sound labeling process to ensure products are labeled within time slot, and ensure labeled / unlabeled status are well maintained in both system and physical products
Ensure on time and perfect delivery of day-to-day transportation
Set up KPI to track performance of trucking companies, identify root causes behind service failure, and continuously improve service quality and reliability.
Keep warehouse and equipment at sound status; maintain environment compliant with GMP standard
Proactively search for opportunity to improve operational efficiency by closely working with brands and Customer Service and making recommendations to brands for improving order management.
P&L
Continuously seek opportunity to improve labor productivity and adjust labor usage to respond to seasonal fluctuation.
Manage transportation cost by well planning route /delivery schedule, minimizing urgent delivery, and by selecting competitive transportation mode and trucking companies.
Control other variable cost including supplies, utility, etc
Be responsible for the whole P&L of shipping &warehouse
- New business development, contact negotiations and building customer relations.
- Develop the relationship with Customers Regional Business Manager to support the business development
- Participate and co-develop distribution and logistics business. Including building relationships, contract negotiations and implement contractual obligation
Set up a team with clear job and responsibility assignment.
Ensure every team member is well trained based on Standard Operation Procedure
Build up team morale
Implement and maintain an open, fair and transparent performance evaluation and communication process.
Communication
Generate and analyze monthly service report and delivery tracking report to seek improvement opportunities
- Communicate regularly with Brand teams.
