Distribution Process Leader

Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking a Distribution Process Leader to join our team. This position will be based at our Indianapolis, Indiana ELC location.

Position Overview:

The primary function of the role is management of all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position leads cross functional teams in key initiatives and projects that support the VGNA Materials Strategy and Profit Plan targets.

The role requires active coordination with Leadership, Operations, Sales, Materials Planning, Supply Chain and Finance.  This individual will work closely with the divisional and plant operations teams to deploy standard process and tools to optimize materials operations.  This will include onsite support for driving continuous improvement and problem solving.

In this function you will:

  • Manages execution of key projects related to achieving VGNA materials strategy, cost out, process optimization, centralization and continuous improvement
  • Leads permanent corrective actions for supplier performance issues and red alert recovery process
  • Provides leadership and governance of material planning resources in absence of materials manager across VG plants and division
  • Provides guidance on work-load balancing for VG material planning and finalization of centralized integration
  • Provides training and mentoring to materials resource’s in deploying VG standard material processes and tools
  • Supervises and is responsible for the Canadian Operations in Brampton and Calgary.
  • Working closely with ProLaunch, Commodity Managers and VAVE functions to support sourcing, resourcing, ramp up/down and cost out projects
  • Provides on-site support for key initiatives and projects across VGNA sites
  • Executing trouble shooting, root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for data integrity of Oracle ERP systems and related reporting tools
  • Analysis of shop floor transaction health and deployment of consumption-based replenishment with visual controls
  • Create and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 of years of experience in Plant/Distribution Operations, and/or Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • No relocation is offered for this position.  Only candidates who reside within a 50mile radius of the Indianapolis, IN facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma or similar experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university.
