In a nutshell
In this exciting position, you’ll develop solutions for the backbone of our VOD platforms such as Red Bull TV and servustv.com. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for licensed applications for the ongoing operation of our media business (e.g. What’s on or SAP Cloud For Customer). Regarding new requirements you’ll make ”build or buy” decisions according to economic considerations.
Optimization of platform and system architecture
In close collaboration with external developers you’ll develop new solutions for our hosted platform. Our platform is based on modern technologies (containerization with Docker and Kubernetes) and was developed with state-of-the-art IT design patterns (self-contained systems, 12 factor app, immutable patterns). For the licensed applications you’ll work closely together with the suppliers and partners.
Quality Assurance and Measurability
On a frequent basis you’ll deploy new functionalities for our stakeholders (continuous delivery) and implement automated test to prevent bugs from appearing in our systems. Additionally, you’ll continuously evaluate the results of your work to have a basis for further development decisions.
Incident & Problem Management
You’ll take over end-to-end responsibility for services and 2nd level support for your solutions. Additionally, you’ll have occassional on-call duty.
Team & Collaboration
You are interested in a challenging interface function? In this role you'll become part of a cross-functional, self-organized team and work closely with external development partners and software suppliers. Moreover, you’ll take personal responsibility and become part of an agile team.
Your experience includes:
(proven performance in)
Min. 3 years of experience in Software Design, requirements engineering and software development (e.g. software Testing, configuration)
Profound knowledge about IT and Requirements Engineering (e.g. API Design)
Software development skills (Python, web development, GIT)
Proactive mind-set, result- and solution-oriented
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technicians
Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate different tasks
Passion for the media world of Red Bull
Degree in information technology, business informatics or adequate work experience
Fluent in English and good German language skills are a plus
