District Manager Neuro/Uro [3/18/2021] The Neurosciences District Manager leads the sales performance and professional development of a team of Account Specialists within an assigned geographical area, that are focused on the BOTOX® therapeutic areas of Chronic Migraine, Movement Disorders and Overactive Bladder/NDO. Supported customer accounts may include community/private practices, community-based hospitals, academic medical centers, military treatment facilities, and Veteran’s Affairs Medical Centers. The District Manager cultivates relationships with key opinion leaders and other identified account stakeholders while also developing internal relationships across other teams, divisions, and departments to maximize utilization and effectiveness of all available Allergan resources. The District Manager drives sales performance, executes business objectives, and develops their team of Account Specialists through live sales meetings, conference calls, field co-travels, and annual performance reviews. The District Manager ensures that promotional sales and marketing initiatives, along with all other DM and Account Specialist responsibilities, are executed in a legally compliant manner. The Neurosciences District Manager is responsible for hiring, developing, promoting, and managing the performance of a team of 8–12 Neurosciences Account Specialists. The Account Specialists report directly to the District Manager and are responsible for the promotion of BOTOX® therapeutic indications, and future launch products within an assigned geographical area. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher is required Documented history of driving strong team performance and individual coaching for growth and development of individuals Minimum of 8 years total business experience in health care, pharmaceutical, and/or biotechnology Minimum of 5 years documented history of successful consultative sales experience with high reimbursement components Minimum of 3 years management experience with high reimbursement components preferred Minimum of 2 years selling and/or managing within academic medical centers and/or government hospital accounts, including work with residents, fellows, and/or pharmacy managers Experience selling and/or managing Buy & Bill, Specialty Pharmacy, Medicare Part B, and Medicare Part D products is required Experience selling within any of the following specialty areas is required: neurology; physical medicine & rehabilitation; pain medicine Knowledge of and experience with legal/regulatory compliance requirements related to the pharma/biotech industry Proven history of market/business planning to develop a strategy and the ability to successfully execute/lead a team to successfully execute the strategy Ability to commit to 50% overnight travel Live within the territory boundaries Experience managing expense budgets for self and team Valid driver’s license Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies Excellent verbal/written communication skills Servant Leader mentality with an ability to put the needs and development of the team and others first, in order to help them perform as highly as possible and drive sales performance Strong desire to “explore the unknown” and continuously enhance personal, professional, and account/industry knowledge Strong interpersonal skills to establish positive and productive team, peer, and customer relationships Excellent business acumen, analytics assessment, and critical thinking skills Excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills Excellent ability to business plan and execute strategy Strong presentation and facilitation skills Significant Work Activities Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day) Travel Yes, 20 % of the Time Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code M Equal Employment Opportunity At AbbVie, we value bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop new and innovative solutions for patients.
