District Manager- Position Overview The District Manager position is responsible for managing an area of 8 to 10 sales representatives. This position will also oversee all aspects of managing an area including sales accountability, promotional compliance, ensuring all sales reps are addressed regarding training, development, disciplinary issues; interviewing and hiring prospective sales representatives, managing region profit and loss and developing and maintaining key customer relationships to ensure the overall success of the therapeutic products. This position is a unique Specialty Sales opportunity to join AbbVie’s flagship business unit, AbbVie Eye Care with a 70-year heritage within eye care community. The position provides the opportunity to promote AbbVie’s market leading products for Glaucoma (Lumigan, Combigan and Alphagan P) and Dry Eye (Restasis, TrueTear and Refresh) to this unique specialty. The existing product portfolio is broad, differentiated and patent protected for many years. A strong mid to late-stage development pipeline includes a number of promising, disruptive new technologies. Qualifications The requirements described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
