Job Description:

The District Sales Manager, General Medicine (GMBU), is accountable for achieving the sales targets for GMBU for Eastern Quebec.   This includes the development and coaching of Senior Biopharmaceutical Representatives (SBR), implementation of marketing programs in the field, developing sales forecasts, implementation of selling strategies, directing SBR business plan development/implementation and leading sales meetings. This role will work with the head office team providing sales data analysis and feedback to the marketing team on strategies and tactics. The District Sales Manager is a member of the GMBU Sales Leadership team as such helps to set the direction and vision for the GMBU selling organization. 

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of Sales Results
  • Executing a blended engagement customer development strategy.
  • Manage People: Competencies, interpersonal skills, hiring, training, coaching and developing SBRs for field selling position
  • Ensure appropriate planning and implementation of marketing programs in the field
  • Assist in development of sales and expense forecasts in line with selling strategies
  • Interpret market & competitive analysis.
  • Plan, organize and participate in key meetings/functions.
  • Utilize a cross-functional team approach to explore opportunities and solve problem, through the implementation of customer 360.

Travel:

  • This position must be based in Quebec City and will require travel throughout Eastern Quebec and various meetings in and outside of the province. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.Sc / M.Sc degree
  • Resides in region

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Head Office experience, such as a role in Marketing, L&P, VA&P and/or BAI
  • Experience as a Senior Biopharmaceutical Representative, or its equivalent, is an asset
  • Experience in GMBU, is an asset
