Recognized by Fortune as World’s Most Admired Companies 2022 The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Siemens USA is seeking to hire a DEI Initiative Manager (DEI IM) who will play a key role in developing and operationalizing initiatives that support Siemens USA overall DEI strategy. The role of a DEI IM will be a thought partner with strong project management experience to help build world-class DEI experiences for our U.S. employees. This role works closely with the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the entire Siemens USA ecosystem to drive strategy and support DEI programs. This position can work remote in the eastern or central time zones. Responsibilities This person will use strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the daily operations of the Office of DEI. They will have the following responsibilities: Serve as strong cross-functional partner who closely aligns with business units, sales teams and enabling functions for sales enablement; providing leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve DE&I. Drive the synergistic efforts of the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Business-specific Diversity Councils across all U.S. businesses ensuring appropriate alignment to overall business strategy, DEI Governance, structure, and flow. Manage external relationships and partnerships between Siemens USA and benchmark DE&I organizations (i.e., Disability IN, Human Rights Campaign, We Are All Human, etc.). Provide Head of DEI and other senior leaders with data insight and analysis while delivering, monitoring, and communicating on key performance indicators; report/update on performance of the company’s progress towards goals. Respond to internal and external inquiries and present on behalf of the Head of DEI and continue to protect and grow the brand and reputation of Siemens. Provide support and oversight for special projects and initiatives including planning, coordinating, and leading associated meetings and workshops; along with providing tactical support to execute the ideas. Support, document, and streamline DEI operations in partnership with executive leadership: guide the deployment of DEI annual plans; provide day-to-day advisory and logistical support; allocate, manage, and track DEI impact. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion, implicit bias and institutional racism. Exceptional influencer and interpersonal skills. Experience in working effectively and influencing decision makers with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner. Careful attention to detail, accuracy in performing job duties and acts with a sense of urgency. Trustworthy to maintain confidentiality. Well-developed computer skills using standard internet, and MS Office programs. Adept at excel and experienced in translating data into meaningful charts and dashboards. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive outlook. Polished, professional, and effective presentation skills for all audiences and levels within and outside the organization. Sound decision making ability using judgement and ingenuity while keeping brand protection at forefront. Understands the Siemens businesses and marketplace. Required experience and education 3+ years of relevant DEI experience. Minimum one year of DE & I Project / Program Management experience: ability to work within timelines and manage multiple priorities. BS/BA dregree required, will consider AA degree with additional experience. Ability to cross-functionally partner across the entire organization. Ability to work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines. Reports to the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion USA, and interacts heavily with the Siemens entities, enabling functions as well as senior management teams.
