Job Description

The Amgen Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) team is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented and independent thinker with the ability to thoughtfully execute projects and initiatives to completion.

In this vital role you will be responsible for key strategic and operational initiatives including but not limited to:

  • Lead for project support for business process interventions for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, across our four strategic focus areas of People, Culture, Community and Sustain
  • Provide foundational project management support, including but not limited to: managing budget and POs, supplier and vendor management, and invoicing for Employee Resource Groups and enterprise DI&B office
  • Serve as key execution lead for DI&B Learning Journey, including developing and launching upcoming behaviors and managing metrics dashboard
  • Support program management for key leadership development initiatives in collaboration with Talent Management and HR
  • Manage and track DI&B initiatives to our Amgen DI&B goals and metrics, via enterprise-wide dashboard
  • Support coordination with Corporate Communications/Corporate Affairs for real-time updates to ongoing initiatives and successes
  • Lead internal platforms for DI&B communication, such as DI&B Portal, email inbox and DI&B Yammer, serving as Amgen DI&B's face on internal platform, while also influencing others to engage amongst DI&B leads and champions
  • Establish effective approach to engaging enterprise-wide DI&B champions and volunteers, for DI&B leaders, HRBPs, ERG leads, and so forth.   

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Human Resources and/or Business experience

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources and/or Business experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Human Resources and/or Business experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Actively promote DI&B in current role and/or initiatives
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including leading projects from initiation to completion over both near-term and long-term timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute initiatives to completion, and manage and escalate risks and issues where appropriate
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile in time of business need due to changes in perspective, input, or leadership direction 
  • Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously, to completion
  • Ability to build visuals and weave through strong narratives for all audiences, i.e. in PowerPoint 
  • Ability to influence without authority across cross-functional global teams 
  • Proven ability to exercise appropriate discretion and independent judgment
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all levels 
  • A change agent who is passionate about building an inclusive culture
