Job Description
Coordinates the workers' health surveillance program including hiring evaluations, periodic examinations, and SOPs. • Identify the potential causes of accidents and occupational diseases, in coordination with the industrial safety department, getting involved at the implementation of preventive safety and hygiene measures. • Contribute preparation of the epidemiological preventive program for diseases due to exposure to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial agents, according to the nature of work and industrial activities carried out in the different areas of the plant. • Notifies and leads incidents investigation that may occur in relation to work activity associated to machinery, equipment, instruments and manufacturing materials, considering their legal significance. • Submit required notifications to the Secretary of Labor and Social Prevention related to occupational incidents occurred, in accordance with the stipulations established by the applicable laws and regulations. • Investigate, and responds ST7, ST9 forms, and other clarifying documents to Social Security. • Certifies when an employee returns from a period of disability, either due to general illness or work risk, validating his medical capacity to resume his work activities. • Determines, calculate, and submit information related to Risk Prime in yearly basis. • Issues its opinion on the origin of the illness or occupational incidents that occur or claimed by workers. • Notifies to the correct instances of the company the results of the medical examinations, taking care of the confidential information. • Helps with training where appropriate related to prevention of occupational risks. • Coordinates the acquisition of medications and essential medical materials, in accordance with the authorized basic chart, to provide medical care and first aid services in a timely and effective manner. • Establishes and ensures compliance with a monitoring program to protect the health of working mothers during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in prenatal care. • Carries out external medical consultation with relatives of workers when required. • Responsible for compliance with regulations, registration, administration and log reports of patients, medical care, medical history, medications supplied, epidemiological controls, chronic-degenerative diseases, and other necessary data required by health authorities. • Handle infectious related cases to Health dependencies based on applicable public health regulations and protocols. • Supervises medical department, ensure logs, and create appropriate reports. • Responsible for coordinating training based on regulatory compliance for first aid brigades. • Participates and gets involved in all activities related to industrial health and safety • Any other task or responsibility assigned by the immediate superior. • Cafeteria health surveillance • Monitors compliance with Hygiene, Operational Studies, and examinations for Cafeteria staff • Is on charge to coordinate controls to prevent the spread of COVID19 #LI -DS1 Qualifications Bachelor's degree (physician) 5 years minimum on charge of a medical department, medical services, and legal requirements (IMSS, COFESPRIS y STPS). Preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment. "• 50% English (preferable) • Medical department projects • MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) • Knowledge of Mexican Health regulations preferred. • Knowledge of Excel, Word, electronic mail system" • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
