Doorperson
The Doorperson must maintain the Fairmont brand by ensuring all guest expectations are exceeded. Representing the hotel through complete knowledge of all aspects of the Guest Services Department, the hotel, city, and local attractions.  The Doorperson must always conduct themselves within the Operating Standards of Fairmont Palliser and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

  What you will be doing:
• Valet parking and retrieving vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport of luggage to and from the lobby as required by guests.
• Must be completely familiar with role during hotel emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, the use of Incident Reports and Hazard Identification.
• Communication to the next shift as necessary to ensure smooth transition and completion of duties.
• General cleaning in the public areas in front of the hotel as well as in the Lobby.
• Greet all guests with a smile, offer of assistance, ensuring alternatives are offered as needed.

Your experience and skills include:

• Must be fluent in English – working knowledge in another language is an asset.Must be reliable and self-directed as this position will involve working alone often.
• Previous guest relations work and/or bell desk experience is a definite asset.
• Must have good interpersonal skills working with the public.
• Current First Aid & CPR an asset.
• Must provide a Drivers Abstract and Drivers License, and have the ability to drive a vehicle with standard transmission.
• Must be personable and presentable.

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
