Plan and arrange details on assigned work with minimal supervision. Prepare layouts of mechanical sections, mechanisms or assembly and detail drawings of equipment and tooling which are simple to highly complex with the support of an engineer or design originator. Requires a familiarity with engineering and enclosure terminology and various manufacturing and machine shop processes.

• Assist engineering staff in developing equipment and mechanical enclosures for use in telecom applications.
• Use CAD system in development of detail, assembly, and schematic type drawings. Working experience with SolidWorks software preferred.
• Knowledgeable of machine shop standards and practice, and manufacturing processes used in manufacture of sheet metal and polymer products. Wiring and harness manufacturing knowledge is desirable.
• Make tolerance and interference calculations on details and assemblies.
• SAP, BOM, and data management experience preferred.

• Diploma or equivalent and preferably 3-5 years of related experience or Associates degree in related curriculum and 0-2 years of related experience.
• Be familiar with SolidWorks, AutoCAD
• SAP experience is preferred
