Job Responsibilities:
Teaching: Undoubtedly the most important responsibility, your teaching will be divided into two separate categories. In total, the maximum number of periods per week you will teach is 20. This will include some combination of the teaching roles described below.
Drama Teaching:
-Teach Junior High School Students Introductory Drama lessons
-Lessons should be taught in English
-Approximately 20 students per class
-Teach approximately 6-10 periods of Drama lessons per week
-Responsible for the planning and designing of the lessons, the delivery of the lessons, providing feedback on homework and assignments, designing assessments, and giving grades.
Elective Teaching:
-Lead our Junior High School Drama club and help students put on performances for the school community. Clubs meet during regularly scheduled afternoon elective periods.
-Teach Junior High School Students other elective courses in related areas of interest to you.
-In total, Teach approximately 4-6 periods of Elective lessons per week in the Junior High School
-Each elective course meets either once or twice per week
-Electives are not required to have graded assignments or homework, and should be designed to spark an interest within the students
-There may also be opportunities to work with the High School Drama club based on the timing and availability of your final Junior High School schedule
Administrative Duties:
-Regularly attend departmental and school-wide meetings
-Participate in team curriculum planning meetings (if applicable)
-Complete regular lesson plans and unit plans and submit them on time
-Record student attendance and provide occasional feedback to students based on their progress in the courses
