Basic Info

1.Working Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 hours per day, from 7:40am to 12:00pm; 2:00pm to 5:30pm (Working and break time may vary according to subject, schedule and other school operational needs and therefore may be adjusted at the discretion of the school when required), to teach up to 22 lessons (or combination of lessons and contact hours to the same);
2.Student Level: Primary school students;

Job Description

1.Have knowledge of or willingness to learn about the standards of China’s new National Curriculum Standards;
2.Have detailed knowledge or understanding of national/international Performing Art’s curricula;
3.To teach differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students;
4.To deliver a structured, engaging, rigorous curriculum as per your detailed scheme of work;
5.To design and deliver an inspiring curriculum for students with the aims of inculcating a passion for learning, mastery of the performing arts, and comprehensive preparation for high level achievement in students’ personal growth and examinations;
6.Set high expectations for student behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused and inspiring teaching and through positive and productive relationships;
7.To contribute to discussions and collaborate with colleagues in designing individual education plans to support student needs;
8.To provide cover for colleagues as required;
9.To help support and develop the schools Co-curricular programme in terms of the Arts, performance, drama, dance or related;
10.To perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Lower School, Academic Director, or Head of Department;

Requirements

1.Bachelor's degree or above in Performing Art or related field; or a degree in Primary education with additional coursework of special certification in Performing Arts or related from an accredited institution;
2.TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification;
3.Clear criminal background check;
4.A minimum of 2 years previous full-time teaching;
5.Experience of teaching in subject related area;
6.Qualified teacher status or certified teaching license permitting the individual to teach in her/his country’s national education system preferred;

Salary and Benefits

1.Base salary 20-25k before tax;
2.Housing allowance 3,000 RMB per month (can be combined with salary);
3.Work visa provided;

7.Free tuition for first kid, and 20% of the tuition for the 2nd and after kids;
