Job Description
Earlybirds Company was founded in 2013. Over the past 10 years, we have been providing creative drama courses to local public and bilingual schools in Shanghai. More than 30,000 kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students have experienced our courses. Additionally, we have our own training center where we offer courses and training on weekends for students interested in drama and improvisation.

Job Summary:
The Drama Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering drama and theater arts instruction to students. This includes teaching acting techniques, directing plays, fostering creativity, and promoting an appreciation for the performing arts. The Drama Teacher will work closely with students to help them develop their acting skills, self-confidence, and teamwork abilities.

Working Condition:
• Salary: 25k-35k depends on the experience with a 12 - months contract (before tax)
• Flight allowance:¥8000

• Working hours per week: 40 hours including office hour;
• Work schedule :
Wed-Fri:  8:00-17:00 (depends on the schedule)
Sat- Sun: 9:00-18:00
• Student age: 6-13
• Class size:
In the school- 25 students in each class;
In the center- 10 students in each class;
• Class length:
In the school- 35 to 40 minutes for a class;
In the center- 120 minutes for a class;


Key Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Development:
Develop and update curriculum materials for drama and theater arts classes, ensuring alignment with educational standards and goals.

- Instruction:
Teach drama classes to students, covering topics such as acting techniques, voice projection, stage presence, and improvisation.
Organize and lead rehearsals for school productions, guiding students in the development of their roles.

- Production Management:
Select and direct school plays, musicals, or other theatrical productions.
Oversee all aspects of production, including casting, set design, costume selection, and technical elements.

- Student Assessment:
Evaluate and provide feedback to students on their performances and progress.
Maintain records of student achievements and participation.

- Creativity and Collaboration:
Encourage creativity and self-expression among students through drama activities and exercises.
Promote teamwork and collaboration in the production of plays and other theatrical projects.

- Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students during drama activities and performances.

- Professional Development:
Stay updated on current trends and developments in drama and theater education.
Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.

- Community Engagement:
Collaborate with parents, schools, and other organizations to showcase student talents and promote drama programs.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or licensure in drama or theater education (if required by the school ).
- Previous teaching experience in drama or theater education is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of theater history, dramatic literature, and various acting techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
