Purpose “Delivering product to customer in safe manner” Nature and Scope“The job holder is the Bulk driver and reports directly to the Dispatcher, as do delivering products to customer in safe manner using defensive driving technique and complying with Air Products driving hours regulation and/or government regulation which ever is stringent. The Job holder must know the hazard of the products, always avoiding a condition which cause potential hazard regarding the properties of products and know how to handle the products and equipment in emergency situation/condition.The customer site are in various distance and some time need more than 2 day to deliver products, so the job holders must stay in physically fit and mentally alert. DIMENSIONSN/APRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Know the equipment and check it thoroughly, both before starting and upon completing the trip. Also on long trip stopping periodically and checking the unit for any defects.2. Be familiar and comply with government regulation which apply on operating the units.3. Keep physically fit and mentally alert. Not using narcotics, or any stimulants or depressing drugs, or intoxicants. Note : Possesion, purchase, sale and/or use alcohol or controlled substances during duty assignments and/or company owned or controlled equipment and/or premises will not be tolerated. Serious action will be taken towards any disregard of this policy.4. Permitted engine to warm up before moving vehicle. Do not race a cold engine. Allow engine to idle three minutes before shutting of if vehicle has arrived from a trip.This will protect the valves and cylinder walls from warping5. Do not carry unauthorized passengers.6. Smoking is prohibited in the cab of vehicle, or within 25 feet (+/- 7 meters) of vehicle.7. Know the hazard of the cargo inside the tank (products, LOX, LIN, LAR, H2, CO) and always avoiding a condition which cause potential hazard regarding the properties of the cargo8. Know emergency procedure in how to handle the products and equipments in event of accident or emergency condition.9. To transfer the products from tanker/tube trailer to the customer tanks or customer facility in right manner by means of :a. Safetyb. Qualityc. QuantityAnd always following the procedure.10. To complete all documents needed regarding delivery of products including getting approval from the customer on amount of products delivery (Completing DO) and trip report.11. To comply with Air Products working hours regulation and/or government regulation which ever is stringent.a. Not more than 16 hours a day (for single driver operation)b. Not more than 60 hours for 7 consecutive daysc. Implementing BSPJOB REQUIREMENTS1. Job Incumbent is expected to have High School’s Degree. 2. Job Incumbent is expected to have minimum 3 years work experience as driver with BII driving license.
