Duty Engineer
Reporting to the Director of Engineering / Or Delegate, the Duty Engineer is responsible for the physical plant of the building - Boilers, Chillers, Heating, Cooling, Rooms Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, Pools & Spa, as well as resolving guest issues. You will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

What you will be doing:

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Completion of all assigned Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Take Daily readings of Boilers, Chillers, Water Entry Room, etc.
• Work closely with the Rooms Division and all hotel departments to improve service delivery and efficiency
• Providing excellence in guest service and acting as a liaison between the hotel and our guests
• Ensuring a prompt response and follow-up to all daily service requests by guests and employees, with a drive to not only "fix" the problem, but implement changes to prevent re-occurrence
• Responsible for monitoring and changing appropriate set points and control systems of the building automation systems
• Communicating and developing relationships with supporting departments
• Key member of the Emergency Response Team
• Ensuring that all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order
• Participation in committees, communication meetings and daily briefings
• All others duties assigned by Director of Facilities related to building issues and repairs
• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
