Duty Engineer
Reporting to the Director of Engineering / Or Delegate, the Duty Engineer is responsible for the physical plant of the building - Boilers, Chillers, Heating, Cooling, Rooms Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, Pools & Spa, as well as resolving guest issues. You will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

What you will be doing:
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
- Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
- Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Completion of all assigned Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Take Daily readings of Boilers, Chillers, Water Entry Room, etc.
- Work closely with the Rooms Division and all hotel departments to improve service delivery and efficiency
- Providing excellence in guest service and acting as a liaison between the hotel and our guests
- Ensuring a prompt response and follow-up to all daily service requests by guests and employees, with a drive to not only "fix" the problem, but implement changes to prevent re-occurrence
- Responsible for monitoring and changing appropriate set points and control systems of the building automation systems
- Communicating and developing relationships with supporting departments
- Key member of the Emergency Response Team
- Ensuring that all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order
- Participation in committees, communication meetings and daily briefings
- All others duties assigned by Director of Facilities related to building issues and repairs
- Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
- Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
Your experience and skills include:
- Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
