Job Title: E&I Engineer

Organizational context:

Reports to Technical Manager

Key Accountabilities

Perform the conceptual Design and CEP+ regarding to E&I engineering activities compliance with Vopak Standard and Repeatable Formula, as well as Vopak Blueprint in different projects.

Support the Project / Engineering Manager with regard to E&I engineering issues.

Coordinate, monitor & control independently E&I engineering activities towards the Local Design Institute working at the different Greenfield or expansion projects

Represent the interests by Project OWNER and Internal Customer in the project towards the engineering company, Local Design Institute, Vendors, construction companies, etc.

Perform works in accordance with Company Procedures, standards, specifications and any project regulations

Support Division business development team in new projects;

Arrange for the preparation of E&I design deliverables including Layout, drawings, specifications, detail drawings, schedules and diagrams on project basic design to enable project activities to take place smoothly

Provide technical support to the project team at requirement including but not limited to bids evaluation, definition of the scope of work technical requirements and etc.

Responsible for the specification, design review, inspection and support of E&I installation in different Projects

Establish local know-how and market contacts in the relevant discipline and share with other / new project teams in the region or Vopak Global

Prepare / Review Cost Estimations

Supervise Cost and Schedule for E&I Part in a Project

Provide supports to construction site for installation, commissioning and start-up.

Taking role as project manager for small project(s).

Functional requirements

Minimum 8 years electrical and/or instrumentation engineering experience in preferable Petro Chemical industry or equivalent especially on tank terminal projects.

Minimum 3 years exposure to international projects.

Experience in international engineering company is a plus

Good understanding of international and local codes, standards, regulations

Good knowledge on instrumentation engineering such as CCR, DCS/PLC/ESD, Fire Alarm, Terminal Automation, Field control and Wiring, etc.

Good knowledge of Electrical engineering such as Power Supply, Substation/MCC, and Telecom, etc.

Discipline related cost estimation ability

Good skills on troubleshooting, analytical, communication and coordination

Computer skills with office software and graphic tools like AutoCAD/Microstation for drawings

Shall be very commutative and pro-active

Good verbal and written communication skill, both in English and Mandarin.
