About the World Bank Group:
- Deliver official mail and other documents to government agencies, banks or clients and pick up documents as required.
- Drive staff and visiting missions (including senior staff visits) to official meetings and functions.
- Support the office on customs clearance and handle other administrative tasks assigned by the dispatcher.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspection of the vehicle and maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.
- Maintain vehicle servicing and repairs with effective coordination and prior clearance of the dispatcher.
- Maintain vehicle mileage log book and time sheet on a timely basis.
- Maintain the vehicle in safe driving condition, including ensuring all required documentation (e.g. emergency contact information provided by the office) and first aid kit requirements are up to date.
- Attend safe driving training arranged by the office.

The World Bank Office in Beijing, China is looking for qualified drivers to support the missions and office routine logistics under ETT appointment. The incumbent will report to and be under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Selection Criteria
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Be able to effectively understand and carry out office rules, orders, and instructions.
- Have high school above or equivalent diploma and preferably be able to understand and communicate in simple conversational English.
- Be able to use computer to search locations and submit time sheet in the system.
- Be able to communicate efficiently via texting/webchat and use Apps for road navigation.
- Be able to deliver services in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must hold a valid license and any applicable permits (e.g. diplomatic driver license) to operate the class of motor vehicle that they will be driving with certification of good driving record or equivalent reference check.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of driving experience as a professional driver.
- Preferable with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in driving vehicles for international organizations/development agencies.
- Remain not at fault for a road accident within the previous three (3) years.
- Must be medically fit for driving and pass a pre-employment medical examination arranged by the office.
Note: The selected candidate will be offered a one-year appointment, renewable for an additional one year, at the discretion of the World Bank Group, and subject to a lifetime maximum ET Appointment of two years. If an ET appointment ends before a full year, it is considered as a full year toward the lifetime maximum. Former and current ET staff who have completed all or any portion of their second-year ET appointment are not eligible for future ET appointments.
