E-learning developer 

The role

The e-learning developer works closely with our Instructional Designers to create engaging eLearning solutions and certification programs to train our customers and internal staff on the use of the RWS products.

This role can be remote-based.

Your team

As our new eLearning developer, you’ll be part of the Product Training team, which, in turn, fits into the bigger picture of the Product Management team. Product Management drives our product roadmap, based on a strong future vision and deep technologic overview. You will report to the Product Training Manager who is responsible for the product training strategy and content creation for both RWS customers and internal employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and creation of eLearning modules to support the RWS product training set from provided storyboards. Ensure that eLearning projects are delivered within agreed timescales
  • Editing video for incorporation into eLearning courses
  • Synchronizing Text-to-Speech with video’s
  • Creating animation for incorporation into eLearning courses using a breadth of skills in user interface and graphic design to design excellent user experiences
  • Incorporating simulations techniques to enhance eLearning experience
  • Managing the e-learning review process with our SME’s
  • Publication of completed eLearning content to relevant format
  • Supporting the creation of training collaterals in different formats
  • Creation of Certification exams using question banks

Skills and knowledge:

  • At least 3 years experience of working in the eLearning development environment
  • Expert ability to develop content in the Articulate suite of products, primarily Storyline 360.
  • Understanding of user interface design and best practice
  • Enthusiasm for and wide-ranging knowledge of e-learning design and development approaches 
  • Experience and expertise in technical writing and building training materials (primarily in English)
  • In-depth experience in video production, the current tool used is Camtasia 
  • Experience in animation production, the current tool used is Vyond
  • Experience with the creation of exams
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems an advantage
  • Excellent level of English essential, additional languages is an asset.

  • eLearning development tools (proficiency in Articulate 360 package required)
  • Video recording and animation tools (proficiency in Camtasia and Vyond preferable)
  • Text-to-Speech tools (Amazon Polly)
  • Speech-to-Text tools (CaptionHub)
