Role description:

The resource will be responsible for the Support, Test, Validation, and
Troubleshooting of the Cadence 17.x Library Environment employed by the Lenovo
DCG Server Development organization.  This is a critical role on a worldwide
development organization to support a common design strategy for Lenovo and
it’s development partners.

Included in the responsibilities will be:
• Utilize the Cadence EDM system for all library management activities
coordinated among the worldwide team.
• Support documentation activity for all Library supported processes &
specifications
• Support component creation and revision control activities
• Work in Cadence EDM Component Request/Tracking system
• Work with Cadence Application Engineers to debug Library and Design Issues
• Regularly interface with all worldwide engineering teams, MCAD Engineers and
development partners as project/program needs arise
• Interface with Component Engineering and supply chain team
• Experience in extracting data centric attributes from vendor supplied
spreadsheets for automated symbol development and verification

#### Position Requirements:


• 5-15 years’ experience with ECAD PCB Library and Layout Development
• Expertise in Component Schematic and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Library
creation using Cadence Allegro Library Development tools, version 17.2 or
higher. Specific Library tools experience includes:
o EDM Project Manager
o Allegro Library Manager
o Allegro PCB Librarian Expert
o Allegro Part Developer
o Allegro ECAD/MCAD Library Creator
o Allegro PCB Editor
o Allegro Design Entry (Concept)
• Interpret Manufactures’ component Datasheets
• Understanding of electronic symbols and how they interconnect to each other.
• Familiarity with PLM systems i.e. PTC Windchill/PLM
• Industry Standards (IEEE, JEDEC, Corporate) Padstack and Footprint and
Schematic Symbol  Development Expertise

Preferred skills:
• Comprehensive Cadence 16.6 for sustaining previous production library
components and any transition to current 17.x  library.
• Layout Design Rule Constraints
• Experience with Cadence Constraint Editor
• ID(X) ECAD 2 MCAD synchronization
• Ability to Package schematics
• Import and debug Cadence Design HDL netlist in to BRD file
