A private EFL elementary school in Liaoning is seeking to hire a native English teacher located within China to teach English as a foreign language to young Chinese learners in the age range of 4 to 12. The school has its own in-house lesson-plan repository which teachers use as a guide when preparing lesson plans.

Each native English teacher has a Chinese TA who helps prepare for the class, translate, monitor, and deal with behavioral issues in the classroom. The curriculum for 4 to 6 year olds is focused on speaking and listening as well as sight recognition of words whilst for 6 to 12 year olds, the curriculum is more broad and is focused on speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar with speaking and listening at the core. The objective is to provide students with a broad foundation in the English language.

The school has been in operation for over 8 years and is run by an Irishman who has nearly 13 years experience in the EFL field. The school has come through the CoVid Crisis unscathed and is financially sound and stable. There are currently over 500 students attending the school. The fact that the school is run by an Irishman and that there is little direct competition makes the lives of all teachers much easier.

While there is much uncertainty regarding the future of EFL schools in China especially as most will have to become non-profit by the end of 2021, we are glad to state that our school meets the new national requirments regarding the recent nationwide decree on private schools. The school currently possesses a not-for-profit-school license as well as a non-academic education license. These two licenses are also used when hiring new teachers on Z visas.
