Key Accountabilities (Tasks & Responsibilities)

• Develop and update Health, Safety, Environment, Energy (EHS) polices, standards and procedures.

• Lead / coordinate Compliance audits and follow up actions.

• Develop and update EHS monthly plan/key activities and monitor and report progress

• Ensure Safety committee meetings are held as planned and monitor action closure

• Implement Assurance Plan to conduct inspections and audits of plants to ensure EHS related risks are managed.

• Lead / coordinate government / company required projects and tasks.

• Timely review new local legal requirement and inform EHS team about latest legal requirements

• Investigate all safety & occupational health related injuries/accidents.

• Implement all corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of injuries & incidents.

• Interact with agency contacts & lead on-site visit or inspections from EHS regulatory personnel.

• Ensure the storage, recycle, reuse & disposal of residual, universal and hazardous wastes are in compliance with EHS regulations.

• Maintain records in accordance to appropriate standards and regulations.

• Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards.

• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

• Inspect facilities, equipment and systems to determine if they meet specifications or standards.

• Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.

• Interview employers and employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents.

• Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or radiation levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

• Provide technical advice and guidance to organizations on how to handle health-related problems and make needed changes.

• Other reasonable tasks assigned by organizational or functional supervisor(s).

Leadership

• Able to inter-communicated with cross functional department to implement EHS procedures and requirements.

• Train and educate employees and leaders on EHS responsibilities and compliance.

• Firmed and confidence to ensure all employees adhered to their EHS responsibilities regardless of authority hierarchy.

• Achieved zero accident rate

• Report all near-missed incident and improve on first-aid injury.

Qualification & Competencies

Education / Qualification

• Candidate should be thoroughly knowledgeable with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1800

• B.S. industrial safety, environmental engineering or equivalent

• Professional experience: > minimum of 5 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Governmental EHS portal

• MS-Office

• SAP basic knowledge (optional)

• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese/English

• High safety awareness

• Possess good initiative and independence

• High motivation and capacity to work under pressure and flexibility

• Good inter-communication skill
