Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an EHS Coordinator to join our 1st shift team. This position is based at our Sherman, TX location. Position Overview: Our company is searching for candidates for the position of EHS Coordinator to assist the EHS team with maintaining EHS compliance. In this function you will: Help develop EHS training programs Be responsible for conducting frequent walks throughout the production facility to ensure proper practices are being observed and to note any unsafe/dangerous acts, faulty equipment, or non-compliance with any environmentally related policies/regulations Lead the implementation or management of EHS programs for the site Develop, implement, and monitor EHS action plans and programs to ensure a high level of safety awareness within the site Maintain and updates EHS information (charts, and graphs) and communicates safety metrics Coordinate necessary EHS audits and inspections as required and ensures follow-up items are completed Participate in investigations as needed Assist in recordable injury, first-aid, and near-miss investigations and in the development and implementation of action plans Conduct regular facility inspections Maintain the site’s environmental compliance Own assigned MESH elements Manage wastewater treatment facility Qualifications Required Basic Qualifications: Must have BS in Engineering (Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental, Chemical, or related discipline) 0-3 years of EHS experience No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Must have the ability to work a varied schedule, to include some weekend work Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Able to work in office, facility, and outside environment. Position Criteria: Strong knowledge in Environment, Health & Safety management systems. Able to accurately complete incident reports. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Strong commitment to Safety and Environmental. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and have significant flexibility Able to meet deadlines and schedules with a sense of urgency. Able to handle employee sensitive information.
