In order to enlarge the RD-footprint in China, Daimler Greater China Ltd. is bringing a new Tech Center in operation mid of 2021.
To ensure safe, healthy and environmental friendly working conditions we are looking for an experienced EHS-manager to lead the overall EHS operation within the Tech Center and within our RD organization.
This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining the EHS management system within the framework of Chinese regulatory requirements and the corporate guidelines of Daimler. In close cooperation with the related business units and the overall EHS department of DGRC you will organize and implement an efficient EHS management system in RD&P China, which also reflects hazardous chemical management, waste management, prevention of work-related illness, injury, maximize employee protection.


Task description
Install and organize the RD&P EHS management system:
·Develop RD &P EHS general working procedures. e.g. R & R, EHS manager working instruction, yearly work arrangement, yearly budget plan …
·Establish and maintain RD &P EHS regulation, based on corporate requirement, Chinese laws and ISO14001&45001 standards.
·Lead RD &P departments on risk assessment for all related equipment, production process &workspace safety.
·Lead and consult all RD &P departments to make each Department’s EHS working instructions.
·Track RD &P department’s implementation, arrange regular inspection and management report. Lead the EHS committee (work group) to monitor and ensure all EHS policy and regulation are effectively implemented
·Organize RD&P general EHS trainings, and coordinate related teams to organize EHS trainings for specific topics
·Ensure emergency response plans are in place and aligned with local regulatory, regional, divisional and corporate requirements
·Support and supervise the implementation of EHS “three simultaneously” in RD & P projects.


Lead RD &P go pass the ” ISO450001 &ISO 140001” Audit, and continually maintain the ” ISO450001 &ISO 140001” systems.
·Lead the Audit preparation
·Integrate the Audit requirement to EHS daily management
·Figure out the process gaps, risks, and define counter measures, and implement


Lead third party safety management, i.e. EHS training, permit to work application, supplier management
·Develop EHS training documents for third party
·Develop EHS agreement for third party
·Issue work permits for contractor
·Supervise the third party management in RD&P
·Inspect the contractors’ activities in RD&P


As interface with local safety bureau， environment protect bureau or related department
·Receive gov. bureau random visit, and organize rectification according to gov. requirements
·Lead the localization and implementation of gov. requirements
·Prepare reports and relevant documents for gov.
·Others


Collaborate with corporate EHS to establish and maintain EHS management system based on Corporate requirement
·Support annual EHS assessment from CS/EHS
·Lead the implementation according to the requirements of CS/EHS
·Approach EHS support needed to CS/EHS and collaborate with CS/EHS
·Provide EHS related reports and data to CS/EHS according to request
