Job Description
Position Overview: The EHS Manager will support the creation of a strong culture, is a strong influencer of site leadership by being a change agent, and engages employees in the achievement of the company’s goal of zero EHS incidents. This person ensures that programs are developed, implemented and sustained to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates. In this function you will: Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs. Measure, communicate and improve key performance indicators and act as an agent to support continuous improvement activities that achieve established improvement goals in an effort to become a lean model plant. Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the facility that engages and empowers employees to implement countermeasures and safety improvements. Ensure standardized work processes are properly documented and followed. Lead operational talent management inclusive of employee engagement and performance management. This includes assessing current team members, identifying needs, creating robust training, and developing team to further expand the talent bench. Hold regular team meetings and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departments outside of the team, including special assignments and safety leads. Lead and improve continuous improvement framework through the utilization of various lean and six sigma methodologies. Participate as a key leadership team member for long range strategic planning and budget preparation. Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s Ethics, Values, Philosophies, and goals. Allocate the necessary resources to meet external and internal commitments while maintaining budgetary control Drive integration plan to bring the Royal Power Solutions facility into Eaton systems #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 5 years of related environmental health and safety experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Master’s Degree 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting 7+ years of related environmental health and safety experience Experience with OSHA responses and compliance What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
