We have an opening for an EHS Manager (maternity leave replacement for ca. 1 year) to manage safety, health and environmental activities in Finland including our production facility and the Finnish Sales and Services organization in Espoo . The health and safety of our employees has outmost importance at Eaton. At Eaton EHS is a central function, taken into consideration in all of our activities and over the years EHS has reached a mature level throughout the organization, but there is always possibility to improve.

The key responsibilities of the EHS Manager are:

  • Manage and direct EHS -related activities to make sure that our EHS targets and objectives are met for all our operations in Finland
  • Utilize Eaton's strong processes and tools for local EHS Management
  • Develop and work on EHS programs and projects to ensure completion and compliance
  • Support and carry out risk assessments on site to identify EHS hazards and to create action plans to mitigate risks
  • Work with production line managers and other specialists to ensure the safety in production.
  • Serve on the Leadership Team of the production facility to set larger targets and objectives related to safe operation.
  • Lead and manage one EHS Specialist reporting to the EHS Manager
  • Manage and hold EHS trainings
  • Network with the larger Eaton EHS organization in the EMEA region.

Qualifications

Desired skills and know-how:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a suitable field
  • Previous experience leading EHS activities
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS legislation and requirements
  • Previous experience with managing EHS certifications (eg. ISO 14001) and requirements
  • Ability to work fluently in both Finnish and English
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to work
  • Previous managerial experience
