The primary responsibility of the Compliance Coordinator is to assist in managing day-to-day execution of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health Services (OHS) compliance program. This person will coordinate, control, and manage the flow of information, documentation, and communication between EHS staff and the business areas who will require access to the information. Responsibilites: Manages EHS training compliance for the site Initiates and updates EHS training profiles in the EHS learning system Facilitates and tracks EHS training content reviews with subject matter experts Schedule required medical surveillance/screenings Coordinates EHS onboarding for new hires Coordinates and maintains departmental files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and local regulatory guidelines Support Occupational Health team with COVID-19 contact and location tracing process and with worker injury/illness statement intake Assist with verification of EHS/OHS vendor services and billing reviews Manage central EHS and OHS phone numbers for compliance questions, providing appropriate responses to inquiries and elevating as necessary Monitors and prioritizes requests in group email inbox and delegates actions to the respective team member Monitors EHS related work order requests and assigns it to the respective team member Follows company policies and established site procedures Consistently handles confidential or business-sensitive information Maintains and manages calendars, including meeting scheduling for Emergency Response Team, Lab EHS Committee, Institutional Biosafety Committee Qualifications High School Degree required. Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, audit, legal, regulatory, or finance. Effectively handles multiple tasks and prioritize workload. Proficiency in databases and ability to use MS Office products. Demonstrated strong communication skills, written and oral. Ability to interact with employees at various levels within the company. Good understanding of EHS and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
