The purpose of EHS Specialist (also called Olin Responsible Care Specialist) is to:

• Assist with ORC(EHS) leader to provide supports on all aspects of the EHS functions for all sites in APAC and ensure the compliance of all external and internal requirements are met on all EHS aspects;
• Work in initiatives to meet team objectives and improve EHS performance and ORC culture.

Main Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor EHS laws and regulations, identify gaps and propose actions as necessary to ensure the Shanghai lab compliance such as:

  • IH/OH management- required documents, annual IH test & follow up, OH check& follow up

  • Environmental management: emissions- potential pollutant discharge permit application and maintain; waste management- required documents, waste treatment application and monitoring

  • Drug precursor/ explosive chemical management: documents, daily monitoring

• Support applicable Olin Management System (OMS) polices and procedures’ implementation in Shanghai lab

• Schedule and support Olin Management System(OMS) self-assessment and Management System Review(MSR) done effectively in Shanghai lab in a timely manner as required

• Life Critical standards(LCS) implementation at Shanghai lab

• MOC monitoring and follow ups

• ORC action plan supports and follow up

• Incidents/ near miss analyze and propose action plans and follow up

• Support and facilitate lab and office safety meetings to drive positive ORC culture

• Active in the field coach for procedure use and positive influence building confidence in ORC(EHS) in the field & lab

• Others as assigned by line manager

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in chemical engineering or relevant

• Over 3 years relevant working experiences in EHS role in a multi-national company

• Good command of written & spoken English and PC skills

• Able to work under pressure

• Working initiative

• Result Orientation

• Good communication skills and open minded

• China CSE preferred
