Overview:
This position provides professional and specialist Environmental and Safety advice and support to ADL to ensure that it is compliant with all Regulatory and Corporate requirements; that hazards and risks are being systematically identified, eliminated and/or mitigated; and that work related injuries and risks to health are being eliminated.
The position will also provide support and advice to defined business partners in relation to helping them meet their Amgen responsibilities in relation to general EHS business programmes such as inspections, audits, incident investigations, training, risk assessment, change management etc. Flexspace Category: Onsite worker (3+ days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Subject Matter expertise and specialist support in any assigned areas and programmes. These may include:
- High Risk activities (this may include Pressure, Machine, Hazardous Gas, LOTO, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Hot Works, EHS Risk Assessment and management etc.) and any other defined programmes as necessary
- Maintain a system of risk assessment to identify appropriate corrective actions; carry out risk assessments and ensure that corrective actions are implemented to minimise certain risks.
- Provide EHS support to assigned Business Function(s), including support in incident investigations, project reviews.
- Support the assigned business partner function(s) as required, and be purposefully present and available in the workplace for significant periods of time (including Genba’s, Inspections, Incident Investigations, Instructor Led training etc.)
- Support sites programmes for the safe and compliant management of non-GMP changes
- Ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented in a timely way conjunction with area management.
- Support effective Implementation of Amgen EHS policies, programmes and Objectives.
- Support effective Implementation of Amgen Safety Internal audit and Inspection programme.
- Identify, support and deliver Health and Safety training needs in support of the programmes and facilitate the implementation of necessary programmes, including induction training.
- Co-ordinate, support and facilitate appropriate safety and functional meetings as required.
- Ensure that Amgen maintains compliance with legislative and corporate requirements and that appropriate programmes are compliant and updated to meet new legislative requirements.
- Where necessary, provide back-up and assist in the implementation of any other EHS related tasks/projects or programmes as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety/Health, Environmental Health or relevant Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 4 years in related industry in an equivalent role.
