Eaton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking an EHS Supervisor to join our team. This role is located at our Athens, Georgia facility. Position Overview: This position supports environmental, health, safety, security, and facility maintenance efforts at the Athens site. Individual is accountable for: supporting EHS activities at his/her location, including: maintaining EHS systems and processes such as monitoring and measurement systems, reporting and communication of EHS metrics, collection and organization of EHS action items, supporting EHS training initiatives, leading and supporting EHS teams, leads / supports incident investigations, and supports site internal assessment activities. Individual is also accountable for supporting the Athens Physical Facility, to include, contractor coordination for maintaining HVAC, WWT, building structures (roof, walls, ect), docks, gates, fencing, driveways, and parking lots Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Keeps the Athens plant within Federal, State, City regulations as well as Eaton’s MESH requirements Prepares plant for successfully audits from Federal, State, City inspection as well as ISO 14001 and MESH audits Provides direction to staff on safety and environmental matters Establishes safety and environmental programs, tracks performance towards targets and objectives and prepares the required result reports as needed Plans and deploys required safety and Manufacturing training as needed Maintains all legal required permits current (water, wastewater, pressure vessels, etc. Conducts risk and job safety analysis for machine guarding, personal protection equipment, new installations, and routine and non-routine tasks Directs and trains EHS team to perform safety activities towards incident prevention Advises plant in the areas of environmental compliance, employee safety and occupational health, ISO 14001, MESH and other regulatory organization Maintain annual LOTO and Electrical Safety certification. Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements. Conduct Risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Supports tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance. Supports tracking and accomplishment of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Supports MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Supports and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site. Supports EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year. Works with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations. Supports efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class. Provides support on using established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data. Create training matrices and leads training sessions to ensure that all training is defined, completed, and tracked in accordance with an annual plan. Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited University 2+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience working in a Manufacturing environment Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity of environmental and safety legal requirement Familiarity of plant manufacturing processes Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering As a contractor with the Federal government, Eaton is subject to the Executive Order mandating COVID-19 vaccination.
