Job description- EHS Supervisor -Asia:

• Carry out Corporate EHS strategy, policy and initiatives.
• Champion sites and travel to locations as required.
• Train, Implement and monitor Corporate initiatives such as “safeguard” and “ECO initiative” in Asia sites
• Work with branches to carry out Safety and Environmental improvements using CI tools
• Work with branches on serious accident investigations
• Follow up on GRC, external audits and safeguard alerts with branches and record results as required.
• Audit and provide EHS support to Asia sites. Assist in compiling various audit/inspection reports and track the progress in completing the corrective actions.
• Monitor sites legal compliance and help sites meet all local/national regulatory requirements.
• Safety – work place assessments and action plan
• Occupational health – Review of assessments and control measures and surveillance health checks
• Assist with the EIA acceptance process and annual performance of environmental control system review and permit
• To monitor legal registers and provide advice to branches on how to use ENVITOOL
• Manage data collection and analysis of EHS metrics and reports including injury, illness and waste for china facilities on quarterly basis
• Coordinate and assist site visits 3rd party consultants & government inspections. Follow up on government inspection findings and penalties
• Maintain strong communication on EHS issues with EHS Manager Asia & International Director of Operations Services.
• Work with branches to implement Health & safety policy templates/training
• Provide specific training and webinars on EHS matters
• improve EHS site personnel EHS skills and awareness through implementing the skills matrix and in line with training requirements for those skills
• organize EHS activities – Focus groups, seminars, webinars, regional training events
• Search for external resources for consulting and training to assist branches in meeting their targets
• Be responsive to branch requirements and work with branches to determine safety targets and direction
• Undertake other assignments as defined by the company.

Skills & qualifications

• 5 years plus of site EHS working experience
• National certificated safety engineer is preferred
• Experienced on ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001/ISO45001 management system.
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Strong administration and organizational skills
• Able to train others
• Experience of conducting audits and report writing
• Good understanding of EHS regulations
• Ability to communicate at all levels and build good relationships
• Ability to travel with full driving license
• Ability to organize and chair meetings
