I BROAD FUNCTION

Responsible for Environment, Health and Safety management system comply with law and regulation requirement. Under the direction of directly report to QEHS Manager for developing and implementing the environment, health and safety management system as well as ensuring it is in compliance with company environment, health and safety regulations and policy.

II PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Check, propose and monitor to the employer to comply with the law requirement on working safety, health and environment.

Hazardous waste management compliance and reduction.

Prepare the plan, project on working safety to be submitted to the employer.

PPE strategy and assure implementation in shop floor.

EHS aspect identification, review and updating regularly, assure corresponding measure always in place.

Firefighting system management to assure the system work well.

Check the performance of the place of operation so that it is according to the work plan, project or measures on working safety.

Supervise that the employees comply with health and safety rules & regulations, orders or measures relating to working safety.

Special equipment management to assure compliance.

Advise and train the employees to carry out safety evaluation before work, which may be unsafe.

Prepare EHS training plan (e.g. first aid training, fire evacuation drill, urgency response drill) and conduct following as the plan.

Check the cause of injury, sickness or incident with team and report the total result and proposal to the employer in order to prevent the incident without delay.

Compile, analyze information, statistics and prepare EHS report, recommendation relating to injury, sickness or disturbance due to the work of the employees.

Administrative work and coordinate with in the company and community.

Communication with external part, like government, test agency and etc.

Set up, implement, maintain & improve ISO14001 and ISO45001 management system in Plant Taicang.

Any other jobs assigned by supervisor.

III REQUIREMENTS

1) EDUCATION: University degree related to EHS, Safety Engineering.

2) ENGLISH: no need to be able to speak, just be willing to read and write e-mails in English. CET-4 would be enough, no need a good oral English.

3) PURCHASER: company is small, now have only 40 employees in China, so the candidate needs to be willing to work as purchaser for most of the time when not busy with EHS related staff.
