Position Description: Lenovo’s Data Center Group, Cloud Service Provider (DCG, CSP) Segment is seeking a EMC engineer whose primary mission is to lead project EMC validation strategy make, customer communication and validation execution. #### Position Requirements: • Responsibility for server product EMC design, debug, test and certification. • Manage EMC test plan, test progress, sample delivery and report/ certificate completion outlook to achieve product milestone. • Deeply engage with 3rd party labs on test setup, troubleshooting, issue clarification. • Co-work with internal country representatives and 3rd party channel to apply for EMC country certificates (ex: CE/ FCC/ CCC/ VCCI/ BSMI/ RCM/ EAC…etc.) by product launch. • Co-work with the team for complex system EMC defect solve and organize the project lesson learn and form the technical design document to guide the project design. • Rich experience in EMC design, debug and certification, familiar with EMC theory • Familiar with EMC test and with EMC test instruments • Familiar with schematic and layout design, review and guide development team for EMC design • Have a certain EMC simulation ability, can use simulation to guide project design and risk assessment; • Familiar with application process of EMC country regulations, and test requirements. ex: CE/ FCC/ CCC/ VCCI/ BSMI…etc. • Skill for technical communication and conference meeting in English. • Understanding of server subsystems (CPU, memory, storage, network) and environmental conditions • Practical experience with Windows Server and Linux OS installation and administration • Hands on experience with Intel/AMD x86 server installation and configuration including add-in devices such as network adapters, host bus adapters, and NVMe storage devices • Familiarity with Server product design, system structure as well as specific EMC regulatory requirements. • Familiarity with other compliance stuff, ex: Safety/ Environmental/ RF design and regulatory requirements. • Bachelor degree or master degree in Electrical engineering, related field or equivalent practical experience. • 5+ year experience on EMC design and test, We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
