The job:
The Application Territory Specialist (ATS) will have the responsibility for qPCR/Sample Prep and the related Amplitude Workflow product family with dedicated focus to Automation, Data Handling, Clinical customer needs/ Regulatory Affairs to build, maintain and share advanced technical Application Scientists expertise and information in her/his role.
What will you do?
Specific ATS Job Responsibilities
- Primary focus for at least 6 month: getting all Amplitude UK sites up and running in seamless production mode together with ATS peers & UK teams.
- Special focus on gaining in-depth expertise on Automation, Data Handling, Clinical customer needs/Regulatory Affairs.
- Support Amplitude in Teamwork with ATS peers: enable the generation and optimization of business relationships/processes with the related teams and proper Amplitude FAS Support setup across EMEA including the relevant communication & networking streams.
General ATS Job Responsibilities
Scientific Business Development Support
- Scientific, technical and strategic support of Product Management, Business Development, Marketing and commercial Sales teams.
- Involved in customer collaboration projects to develop new products and workflows.
- Involved in new product releases: involved as Support representatives in some design and development, documentation, process checks, early access field testing, supporting the full readiness and controlled roll-out out in teamwork with Product Management, Marketing and commercial Sales teams.
- Supports internal and external training development and provides training for Field Application Scientists, Technical Application Scientists, Engineers, Sales, vertical partners and customers.
- Involved in upkeep and updating of Support documentation and protocols.
- Lifeline for Technical and Field Application Scientists, vertical business and Application Support partners, mentoring and training of junior Application Scientists.
- Works with local Service and Support Managers, local and global Experts, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Service Product Development on all issues related to instrument, software, workflows, consumables.
- Customer facing supporting all hardware, software, workflows, consumables and experiment/data analysis troubleshooting.
- Remote support and resolution for all support/customer calls.
- Prevent escalations.
Who we are looking for:(input experience, skills & abilities)
- Based in UK
- Master’s or PhD degree in life science related area. Requires a minimum of 3+ years of laboratory or related work experience, in addition requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in LSG field application support. Broad range of scientific and technical experience is desirable.
- Superior technical knowledge and skills on assigned products, and the competitive landscape.
- Advanced application, instrumentation, and workflow knowledge.
- Advanced laboratory and/or regulatory knowledge.
- Basic financial understanding.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English to effectively communicate, present and troubleshoot over the phone, through email, or in person to internal and external customers.
- Is customer-centric and must possess excellent people skills to represent the company in a professional manner.
- Travel may range from 70% to 80% including long distance travel. Valid driver license.
