About The Role:
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Your key responsibilities As the EMEA Financial Controller you will be responsible for the management of a team of financial controllers ensuring the accurate reporting and appropriate control environment across c.20 countries in the region. The team is based in Maidenhead and Cluj in Romania and is responsible for delivering monthly management accounts, local statutory accounts, indirect tax filings and corporate tax filings. The role will also be responsible for delivering critical projects across financial control such entity rationalisations or acquisition integrations.
Responsabilities
• Lead, develop and manage the EMEA Financial Controller team including the Central and Eastern Europe team based in Cluj. Some travel may be required in this role.
• Full ownership and accountability for the financial accounting and reporting for the EMEA region
• Working with the tax team and external service providers to ensure that all external reporting and compliance is completed accurately and on time • Manage and coordinate efficient external audits
• Manage cashflow, working effectively with Treasury
• Ensuring appropriate financial controls are applied across the region including approving payroll and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure monthly reporting and close processes are accurate, timely and compliant
• Insightful analysis of performance within the management accounts
• Building and foster relationships with group finance, commercial finance and senior business leads
• Proactively manage changes in the external environment relevant to the region
Requirements
• Experience managing a senior finance team
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• 10+ years experience in a finance function operating in a financial controller role
• Understanding of corporation tax requirements and accounting
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
• Experience of working with Microsoft Great Plains & Hyperion desirable
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
• Language skills are not required but would be desirable
