To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Process Owner for General Ledger & Statutory in a) the implementation of a project management structure to support the delivery of the finance transformation project through the use of lean methodology b) to lead an in-depth review of key finance processes with particular focus on centralization and standardization opportunities across EMEA c) lead the identification of opportunities to digitize and d) lead and support the implementation of these opportunities. The key area of focus is General Ledger processes which covers among other activity, Intercompany processes, End to End month end and closing activity, Accruals & provisioning processes, Inventory & related processes etc. The role covers the Electrical and Corporate sectors across the EMEA region that have been recently merged into 9 geographical zones (~ 51 countries) from a finance perspective. The role interacts with zone controllers, FP&A, commercial teams, shared service providers, and other business leaders. The role requires strong communication and influencing skills. The role has a large business partner aspect helping to turn unclear, complex business problems into actionable projects. This role will also contribute to the overall finance transformation project that is on-going across EMEA. Your main responsibilities: The key area of focus is General Ledger processes which covers among other areas, Intercompany processes, End to End month end and closing activity, Accruals & provisioning processes, Inventory & related etc. Provide project management support through the use of lean methodologies including the development of project plans outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources Identify and lead/influence cross-functional project team comprised of zone controllers, functional experts, local managers and other stakeholders Understand interdependencies and make prioritization decisions between projects Manage progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables Provide updates to senior management and all stakeholders of progress through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings Lead and support the analysis of key finance processes that require centralisation, standardization and digitization Lead and support the implementation of the above opportunities in conjunction with shared service delivery providers, zone controllers and the wider finance teams Lead and support the development and identification of standard policies and business processes that cover all activities listed above Support zone controllers and business leaders as activity transitions to or from their teams to shared service providers or centres of expertise Ad hoc activities as they arise Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Preferred education level: Degree in finance or equivalent professional accounting or business degree Strong English language capability is essential, additional language skills would be advantageous. Years and area of experience required: 8+ years in finance, previous experience in finance transformation projects Lean/Six sigma qualification would be helpful Experience managing or transferring activity to outsource providers would be helpful Multi-national experience essential. Technical knowledge: Proven experience in leading and executing multifunctional finance projects Knowledge and experience of financial practices and systems of multinational corporations Practical experience in such areas as Finance and Operations US GAAP accounting and statutory compliance helpful.
