For our EMEA e-Mobility division we are looking for a EMEA Regional Product Strategy Manager– Automotive (m/f/d) Location: Karlsruhe Germany We make the electric revolution work. Primary function: This position is responsible for developing and executing Eaton’s e-Mobility product strategy for electrified vehicles associated with the EMEA region. This role provides regional input to the global product strategies for e-Mobility and supports the regional organization with strategic plan development and execution of growth plans. Lead cross-functional project teams to support and develop timelines, engineering targets, business development, customer pursuits, and other PROlaunch activities that support the quotation and customer confidence to select Eaton. Your key responsibilities: Lead, develop, communicate and manage the product strategy, product roadmaps and pricing strategies in alignment with business strategies. Lead market analysis, growth planning, establishing product and associated service requirements, target segmentation, competitive analysis and industry trends. Develop and executes strategic growth plans to achieve targeted e-Mobility revenue levels associated with the position’s stated product categories. Provide investment recommendation to segment leadership team and, in conjunction with e-Mobility product strategy team, manages investment portfolio to optimize growth based on available investment funding. Lead regional business development strategy. Identifies and develops strategic rationale for inorganic partnerships. Manage products from inception to phase out, including product launch and support. Responsible for developing strategies around supporting codes and standards initiatives and industry relationships for e-Mobility by representing Eaton in electrical vehicle industry task force groups and/or enlisting e-Mobility team members and supporting the relationships between Eaton and various vehicle electrification industry representatives globally. Resolve problems with existing products working across cross-functional teams Support all regional pursuit activity including pricing strategy, competitive pricing analysis, project timing, concept design, supply chain cost and capital estimates, manufacturing/operations cost and capital estimates, and any other specific areas required for timely and complete submittal of the quotation. Develops strategy to evaluate and prioritize customer pursuit and quote activity based on resource availability, competitive landscape, product differentiation, product maturity, and cost competitiveness. Influence and secure baseline business case expectations with key stakeholders in the areas of scope, benefit, cost, assumptions, risks/opportunities, key milestones, and alternate implementation scenarios. Fully understand and articulate business case financials and content. Build effective cross-functional team dynamics by recognizing individual strengths and weaknesses, providing proactive feedback and coaching, and creating an atmosphere that inspires learning and recognition. Drive a mindset of transparency, proactive risk mitigation and methodical problem solving. Establish and execute effective internal and external stakeholder communication strategies that address customer, internal leadership, and core team needs for the duration of a project. Effectively tailor messaging and lead project/program reviews with multiple levels of leadership to enable robust decision making and risk mitigation. Develop negotiation strategies with functional partners that meet business case commitments for both customer and supplier contract management. Ensure effective change management processes and contract language is designed and applied. Qualifications We would like you to bring: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or Engineering 10 years of experience in strategy, product management and/or product development positions in a technology environment – automotive Strongly preferred: Experience in the high voltage vehicle electrification market segment Technical understanding of electrical power distribution and circuit protection systems, solutions, and components Knowledge of Power Electronics components & technology Experience identifying and negotiating agreements for partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions and developing the strategic rationale Experience new product introductions, and development programs. Strong executive level presentation and communications skills Superior business acumen and analytical skills Ability to influence the organization and customers on the strategic direction of the business, and drive tangible and concrete actions to ensure progress. Demonstrated success in delivering results in a matrix environment Experience identifying and negotiating agreements for partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions and developing the strategic rationale Understanding of vehicle market and existing electrification efforts by competitors. Strong customer engagement and development skills. International experience, and working across cultures, and countries. Showcase success as a growth champion and a trusted advisor to senior executives Experience defining product requirements and strategic financial and quantitative analysis Practical understanding of value-based selling and pricing.
