About Us

Canada Star Education is a learning center located in Changping Beijing. We offer overseas educational counseling programs, BC curriculum courses, and language training programs to primary and secondary school students. Canada Star is a family of more than 20 part-time & full-time teachers/tutors who hold the same teaching philosophy. We teach to make a difference, and to help all students reach their fullest potential by opening gateways through education. Our teaching is fun, passionate and always aims to inspire.

Vacancies

Vacancies: 2 Full time ESL & English Teachers
Term: Full time (Min.25 hrs)
Start date: ASAP
Contract Duration: One year contract; Renewable upon completion
Salary: 1000RMB – 20000RMB depending on working hours, plus bonus at the end of the contract
Vacation: All national holidays
Housing: Accommodations provided (furnished, or furniture allowance provided)
Meals: 2 meals a day provided at the school Cafeteria
Health Insurance: Provided by employer for full-time employees

Responsibilities

• Prepare teaching material & curriculum
• Work with students one-on-one or in a small group up to 20 students
• Provide report card every month, communicate and work with school staff to help students improve in the subject taught
• Prepare test papers if necessary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in any discipline
• TESOL certificate is an asset
• Familiarity with exams like AP/ SAT/SSAT/ IELTS is an asset
• Passion for teaching youth is a must
• Solid writing and communication skills
• Personal qualities: positive, results-oriented, organized, and responsible
• Familiarity with university or college applications is a plus
