Job Description
Library Coaches’ responsibilities:
1. Participate trainings hold by academic department, to be familiar with all aspects of the Élan curriculum, the lesson flows, and the quiz schedules.
2. Be punctual to work at all times, start classes on time, and control student break times.
3. Deliver high quality phonics, literature, and writing courses to students.
4. Issue, explain and mark all tasks and assignments, including in-class and post class assignments, to students and parents of younger students
5. Substitute for absent colleagues - this may be at short notice and off-site, assist in the library during busy times, particularly if you have an empty slot on a weekend
6. Work with the Head Teacher and other staffs in the center to keep informed about schedule changes, students who will be away, and students having trial classes, as well as create strategies for special case students.
7. If your work schedule allows and you have an interest, there is an opportunity to assist with the development of our curriculum, winter and summer classes materials, and also to assist with marketing events.
8. Enforce a “culture of English” and other élan expectations through classroom discipline
Application requirements:
1. Native speakers from the UK, the USA, NZ, Australia, Canada, Ireland.
2. Bachelor degree or above
3. TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate
4. Formal English teaching experience is preferred
Working schedule:
Five days a week (three weekdays and Sat/Sun) 2 days off on weekdays.
Week day schedule 11am-8pm(1hour for lunch)
Weekend schedule 9am-6pm (1hour for lunch)
Summer and winter holiday schedule will arranged by Center manager accordingly
Benefits and Conditions:
1. Monthly salary: before tax 13000RMB to 18000RMB
2. Every 6 months has a chance to increase your salary depends on the appraisal of teaching performance
3. Discretional bonus based on annual performance
4. Up to 8000 RMB flight reimbursement (direction to home country) after one year contract
5. 12 months health and accident insurance for a one-year contract
6. A legal Z Work Visa with work permit provided
7. Arrival Support: Airport pick-up
8. Up to1200RMB hotel fee reimbursement after 2 months’ probation
9. 10000RMB start-up loan for accommodation (Teachers have to provide their passport and accommodation contract as a guarantee until the loan is paid back in three month).
10. 11 days for Chinese Public Holidays plus 11 days for paid annual leave. 3 days full paid sick leave, 7days half-paid sick leave (teachers need to provide sick note get from local hospital).
